Embark on a Once in a Lifetime Wine European River Cruise in 2024
Join me on the trip of a lifetime as we sail through 4 European countries next October! I’ve been given the exciting opportunity to host a group trip to Europe in October 2024. However, this isn’t just any trip… it’s a Luxury European River Cruise sailing the Danube River from Budapest to Vilshofen! It also isn’t just a regular river cruise, it’s a wine-themed cruise with Avalon Waterways! This means we will have a Master of Wine with us onboard throughout the trip.
We plan to sail through four countries: Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, and Germany, all while experiencing the culture, the towns, the wine and the food!
Cruise Example Itinerary
- Day 1 – Budapest (Embarkation): Onboard welcome reception
- Day 2 – Budapest: Choice of guided tour. See Heroes’ Square and visit a wine cellar or hike with your Adventure Host
- Day 3 – Bratislava: Choice of guided sightseeing in Bratislava. Visit St. Martin’s Cathedral or hike up to Bratislava Castle with your Adventure Host; onboard lecture on wine and tasting
- Day 4 – Vienna: Choice of guided sightseeing, or Künsthistorisches Museum visit, or bike with your Adventure Host
- Day 5 – Dürnstein-Wachau Valley-Ybbs. Excursion to Melk: Choice of guided walk or hike up to the castle ruins in Dürnstein or visit a local wine cellar. Cruise through the Wachau Valley. Choice of guided visit of the Benedictine Abbey in Melk. Ybbs city sightseeing with Artstetten Castle visit; onboard wine and cheese tasting.
- Day 6 – Linz: Guided sightseeing, see Hauptplatz and the Trinity Column; onboard food and wine pairing dinner
- Day 7 – Passau: Schlögen Oxbow scenic cruising. Onboard wine and chocolate tasting; choice of guided tour or hike with your Adventure Host.
- Day 8 – Vilshofen (Disembarkation):Your cruise ends this morning

Price: The average price will be $3,999 per person, depending on the room you decide to book!

Only $250 per person is due at the time of booking. The remainder is due 90 days before we set sail!
