2022 Home Decor Favorites

We’ve been in our home a little over one year now and I’ve finally had enough time to put together some of my home decor favorites! There is still so much I want to do with the house… as a homeowner, I feel like that feeling will be never-ending! While we haven’t done any major renovations yet, a bit of paint and new home decor can go a long way. In this post, I’m sharing a few of my favorite spots around our home.

Living Room

In our living room, I love how bright it is but we also have some pops of color and different textures! It used to be all super dark wood, but we knew we wanted a space that we spend a ton of time in to be bright and fresh. Our newest addition to this room is the hanging baskets above the couch that we brought back from South Africa. We carried these through so many airports which was a pain in the a** but they made it back with us! I’ve linked some other basket options I’ve found that are similar. These are fun for wall or coffee table decor!

My favorites in this picture is the mirror above the fireplace and this sherpa lounge chair.

Dining Room

My favorite part of this space has to be this Anthropologie cabinet. I ordered it last December during their sale when everything (including furniture) was 20% off! We also changed out so many light fixtures around the house as so many of them were from 2003 when we purchased the home. My style for these was a mix of boho and modern glam. Our dining room is a bit more formal so I went with these sleek, brass sconces from the Kelly Clarkson collection from Wayfair!

I love the unique shape of this oval marble table from Anthropologie and these fun chairs from Serena & Lilly.
Such a fun space to store wine glasses, decanters and bottles!

Patio

Our Patio has been getting lots of use over the last few months! With the Virginia heat in full force now, this Umbrella from World Market has been a lifesaver.

Bedroom

Our bedroom is now one of my favorite parts of the house because of how peaceful it is with all of the earth tones. Pretty much every item in this room is at the top of my ‘home decor favorites’. I love to relax and unwind here after a long day! With a mixture of some splurge items and more affordable pieces, this space is warm and cozy.

I searched forever to find the perfect bedside table lamp. I love this one from Target!
Most of the large furniture items are from West Elm, with added pieces from Overstock, Target, & Homegoods.
